\ Just Toss It into Water /
Chelate Marine helps purify water in aquaculture tanks and publicly managed ponds, rivers and bays. Our product prevents the cause of the nasty odor and sludge underwater and provides fish and shellfish with a better aquatic and sediment environment. It leads to enhancing their growth, improving their survival rate and cutting down on work and costs relating to tank management and cleaning. Thus far, shrimp farmers and clam farmers have selected Chelate Marine.

River Policy Division, Hiroshima Prefectural Government
In FY 2012, the River Policy Division of Hiroshima Prefectural Government selected Chelate Marine as a new technology for improving river sediment and then conducted the monitoring study at Ota River (Kyobashi River) from FY 2013 to FY 2016. It was confirmed that Kireto Marine was effective in fixing hydrogen sulfide, increasing phytoplankton and benthic species, and reducing organic substances (sludge).

Installing Chelate Marine in the Ariake Sea. Source: SPERA
Installing Chelate Marine is very simple; Just toss it into water. Maintenance-free Chelate Marine can be quickly installed anywhere and help with cost reduction. Since Chelate Marine is made of natural ingredients, there is no need to salvage it after use.
①Leftover feeds and excretion increase nitrogen and phosphorus (N・P) which cause water pollution and a nasty odor caused by hydrogen sulfide (HS-) from sediment.
②Fulvic acid iron and silicon eluted by Chelate Marine increase benthic diatoms, which decrease N・P and inhibit HS- emitted from sediment.
③As fish and shellfish prey on benthic diatoms, their rapid growth can be expected.
④Purified water, improved sediment and reduced odor create a better habitat for fish and shellfish.
Environmental Impact
Chelate Marine does not negatively impact the surrounding environment as it does not emit or elute noxious agents. Our product also meets all 27 items stipulated by the Ministry of the Environment’s Environmental Quality Standards for Water Pollution, and its safety is guaranteed since no heavy metal materials are not eluted.
Carbon Dioxide Fixation
Chelate Marine is made from charcoal from domestically thinned bamboo. By installing Chelate Marine, carbon dioxide can be fixed for a long time as bamboo charcoal is non-perishable.
Carbon Dioxide Fixation by Blue Carbon
Carbon dioxide and minerals (ferric ion (Fe2+) and silicon (Si)) eluted by Chelate Marine induce the growth of phytoplankton (benthic diatoms). It helps fix carbon dioxide, which otherwise causes the warming.
Chelate Marine meets all 27 items stipulated by the Ministry of the Environment’s Environmental Quality Standards for Water Pollution. Also, Chelate Marine’s safety is assured since no heavy metal materials are not eluted. The ministry verified and recognized Chelate Marine’s environment improvement technology at its Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program in FY 2016. 〈ETV Program website〉
